Lottie's care expert team

HANNAH KARIM - CUSTOMER CARE MANAGER

Responsibilities

Hannah leads the Customer Care team, ensuring that Lottie continues to offer the best service to families navigating their care and retirement living search. If she's not talking about care, she's probably showing you pictures and videos of her many pets.

Dream Care Home

It has to allow my pets to come with me, by then I imagine I'll have a small holding. Lots of arts and crafts activities, green spaces and a cosy cinema.

Why Lottie?

I'll be honest, when I joined Lottie last year I didn't really know what I was signing up for. Now I'm here, I haven't looked back once. It is genuinely the best job I've ever had and the most fulfilled I've felt. Being part of the Lottie team allows me to make change on both an individual and industry level, whilst working alongside genuine, wonderful and talented individuals.

If you could change one thing about the care industry, what would it be?

I would remove all funding anxiety from care. I wish we aged knowing that no matter what, we knew we'd be able to put our feet up in a wonderful environment receiving the best care, no matter our financial situation.

KATY JONES - JUNIOR CARE EXPERT

Responsibilities

Katy offers daily support to Lottie's retirement and care seekers, ensuring they have everything they need to access the best later living options whilst answering any questions they have along the way.

Dream Care Home

My dream care home would definitely have to be in a seaside town or city with lots of open spaces surrounding it. And of course, dogs are a must!

Why Lottie?

Lottie offers such incredible advice and help to families in such stressful situations. Most of us in our lifetime will be dealing with a loved one or family member who needs care and to know we are changing the care sector for the better is amazing!

What's your favourite part of the job?

My favourite part of the job is knowing that when I leave work each day I have done as much as I possibly can to help families in really tough situations. Whether that is seeing them through the whole journey and finding a care home for them, or just offering advice and a listening ear - it is incredibly rewarding.

EVA TAYLOR-JONES - JUNIOR CARE EXPERT

Responsibilities

Eva offers daily support to Lottie's retirement and care seekers, ensuring they have everything they need to access the best later living options whilst answering any questions they have along the way.

Dream Care Home

My dream care home would have a spa so I could get my nails done and massages. I would love lots of land with animals and I would be allowed to bring my cat and dogs. I would also love a cinema room so I could watch Harry Potter when every I wanted.

Why Lottie?

I know how important is it to find the right care home for a loved one and making that decision takes a lot of time and can be hard. I feel the team at Lottie really care about people and want to help this stressful process be as easy as possible. Everyone deserves to be happy, well looked after and comfortable.

What did life before Lottie look like?

I was a care assistant for 4.5 years while doing my degree and loved it. My life was very busy and I was either asleep or at work and university.

RUBY HUTCHINS-PERKINS - JUNIOR CARE EXPERT

Responsibilities

Ruby offers daily support to Lottie's retirement and care seekers, ensuring they have everything they need to access the best later living options whilst answering any questions they have along the way.

Dream Care Home

I’d be happy anywhere as long as it has a dog to spend my time with. I’d also love to have activities with other residents like baking, games and chair Zumba.

Why Lottie?

After working in the care sector myself, I know the importance of a quality care home. Although there are many, the best homes are often like a needle in a haystack. Lottie helps to guide you through this difficult time with trust, expertise and, of course the best care homes.

What's your favourite part of the job?

I love it when a care seeker is genuinely thankful for the help you’ve provided. Often it is quite a rush to find a care home but with Lottie, the approach is always human and personable. Nobody is an expert in everything, but thankfully the care expert team love to help with all things care!

SARAH FARMER - JUNIOR CARE EXPERT

Responsibilities

Sarah offers daily support to Lottie's retirement and care seekers, ensuring they have everything they need to access the best later living options whilst answering any questions they have along the way.

Dream Care Home

This would have a sea front view, plenty of fresh air and surrounded by all of the cats and dogs. I'd also quite like lots of arts and crafts to do to.

Why Lottie?

From having family members go into care homes I know how important and stressful it can be to choose the right care home. So having a platform like Lottie which can help and guide families/friends when going through this process is an incredible thing to have.

What's your favourite part of the job?

Helping people find the right care/retirement home. If I can help in anyway, whether that be helping someone all the way up until they move in or just by giving a little bit of guidance. Knowing that I have helped that person is a wonderful feeling.

JOE LISTER - JUNIOR CARE EXPERT

Responsibilities

Joe offers daily support to Lottie's retirement and care seekers, ensuring they have everything they need to access the best later living options whilst answering any questions they have along the way.

Dream Care Home

My dream care home would be in the centre of London with access to plenty of trips out. It also takes consistent effort to maintain my hair, so access to a hairdresser is essential. A pet friendly environment is also very important, I like to be surrounded by lots of people and pets.

Why Lottie?

I wanted meaning with my job and Lottie has given this to me. It brings me genuine joy helping people through this uncertain time for themselves and their family. This is the happiest I have ever been in a job and what’s amazing is that helping people is the biggest motivation of the job, it’s infectious!

If you could change one thing about the care industry, what would it be?

I do not believe you should pay for your care through whole life earnings, care should be free, for everyone. You’ve spent your whole life giving to society, so we as a nation should thank that with free care.
