It seems too good to be true, right?
Lottie is a free service that helps families and retirees find England's best care homes and retirement living communities.
Every community on Lottie's online marketplace has been hand-picked and vetted against Lottie's internal scoring system, which considers several criteria, such as care quality, facilities and customer reviews. You can browse and start your search with Lottie's full list of vetted communities. Or, you can visit our useful care and retirement guides, written by Lottie's later living experts and our specialist network of partners.
As well as offering individuals an easier way to find England's best care homes and retirement living communities online, Lottie provides families and retirees a free expert concierge service, providing further guidance and information on topics such as funding, to help individuals navigate the search process. If you would like to speak to someone over the phone or email, get in touch with Lottie's team of care and retirement experts to receive a free consultation today.
Lottie is able to keep its service free for families and retirees by taking a small, pre-agreed introductory commission from our community partners. However, unlike other directories, Lottie does not allow partners to pay to boost listings on the marketplace. Lottie is focused on matching care and retirement seekers to relevant communities, based on their individual search criteria, such as care requirements, location preference and budget.
Lottie's marketplace boasts over 2,000 vetted communities across England, ranging from the industry's leading not-for-profit and private organisations, through to the industry's best rated and most innovative family-run care providers. From residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, to respite services and retirement living, Lottie can help you easily find the best care for yourself or a loved one. Every community on Lottie's online marketplace has been hand-picked and vetted against Lottie's internal scoring system, which considers several criteria, such as care quality, facilities and customer reviews.
Currently, the communities we have on Lottie.org are in England. However, we aim to roll out Lottie's marketplace and free care concierge service throughout the UK, by the end of 2022. In preparation for this, we're working hard at finding the right communities (care homes and retirement living developments) for the marketplace, as well as hiring amazing local experts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
If a care home is not shown on Lottie, it typically means either they do not have bed availability, or they have not met the standard of care we're looking to promote to care seekers, or were unwilling to provide transparency on fees (which we believe is a key consideration for every family searching for care).
Lottie is committed to only working with England's best care home operators, who not only provide outstanding care to its residents, but also offer a thriving home environment and an ethical service. All prospective care partners undergo the same vetting process, which involves care quality checks, an internal grading system and in-person home inspections. No. We do not allow for care home or retirement living properties to be boosted on the marketplace. Lottie is committed to delivering an impartial service to its customers and will never allow for operator bias on the platform.
