All of the care and retirement homes listed on Lottie are handpicked and vetted by our team of care experts based on their care quality, home culture and ethical practices. From outstanding care ratings and 5* customer reviews, to luxury facilities and thriving home experiences, Lottie partners with the UK’s best care homes that offer an enhanced resident experience like no other.

As Lottie grows, Lottie’s marketplace views are now projected to reach over 700,000 views this quarter alone*, compared to around 100,000 views in Q1. With our listing views continuing to climb, we thought we’d share some top tips for our Partners on how to make your listing stand out.

What Makes One Listing More Successful Than Another?

The average number of impressions for a Lottie listing is 2,800 a month. This is the number of times your listing appears in our search results.

For some Partners, this figure can be as high as 15,000 a month, depending on demand and location. But how do you drive those impressions into real conversions?

When digging into the data, we’ve found that some Partners are receiving double the click-through rate of others. This is the number of views your listing receives, compared to how many times it is shown on Lottie’s search results page (impressions).

But what makes some profiles more successful than others? What makes people click through onto your profile?

Here are a few of our top tips to make the most of your profile on Lottie. The listings that drive the highest conversions are those that combine most of the points below!

1. Information

It is really important to provide all of the necessary information during the onboarding process so that we can get your listings as accurate as possible from the get go. Any inaccuracy can cause delays and adversely, missed qualified enquiries!

2. Updates

Keeping the Partner team up to date with any changes that need to be made means we can keep the listings consistently accurate, giving care seekers the best overview of your home possible. If there’s something that isn’t right on your listing, this can put care-seekers off.

3. Pricing

When pricing is made readily available for ALL care types offered by the home, it allows the team to get your profile published as soon as possible. This also means that you can start receiving and closing enquiries faster, as all of the information is present within your listing.

4. Pictures

Pictures are one of the most important features of your listing! In general, we say the more photos the better.

However, taking the right type of photos is also key to driving more conversions. For example, pictures should give a feel as to what life at your home is really like, rather than focusing on one specific object.

Things to think about:

  • Time of day and weather conditions - A bright and sunny day naturally makes images more appealing. Similarly, ensure any photos are of well-lit rooms - no-one wants to live anywhere dark and grey!

  • What’s in the frame? - People searching for care prefer to see images of full rooms - avoid images of small objects or ornaments that don’t tell a story

  • Include internal and external images as well as images of residents within the home. This gives the prospective seeker a better idea of what life would be like in your home

5. Videos and Tours

Videos and tours are a great way to showcase your home and allow you to highlight the home's benefits. They also give the prospective care seeker a better insight into your home, which means that they can make a more informed decision, helping to reduce the likelihood of a care seeker changing their mind further down the line.
